The Pattern
Repurpose
Each of our bottles are decorated with a bespoke pattern inspired by the Cape, making the bottle, like the wine an art piece in itself. The artist behind the prints, Mark Eisen says: “I’ll admit, I’m quite taken by the idea of people falling in love with these bottles! I have this vision of someone leaning over to put a Protea wine bottle in the recycling bin and stopping themselves and thinking, ‘No, I’m going to keep this.’ And then it becomes a decoration, or a water bottle, or they put their ice tea in it, or olive oil. I love the idea that we might inspire that new way of thinking in people.”
The Cork
Reuse
Our Amorim Helix corks are twist-to-enjoy, ergonomically designed stoppers made from agglomerate cork, used with a glass bottle containing corresponding grooves to ensure an airtight seal. The Helix twist cork further enhances our emphasis on upcycling by preserving the wine tradition of a cork closure combined with a convenient way of resealing your bottle of wine.
